It’s not important enough to me to go that route.

It will if you ever get in an accident and Big-Brother does an investigation.
Or the Cops get the technology to BlueTooth into your car as you drive down the road :(

It’s not on my car. I’m convinced they did away with the top speed recorder.

If you have the Electronic Convenience Group package and steering wheel controls (on 2008-2009 models), you can press the COMPASS (or HOME button on 2010 cars) and the MUSIC NOTE buttons both together and hold them simultaneously for about 7 seconds until the hidden EVIC screen appears. On 2011 and newer Dodge Challengers, find your way to the COMPASS screen on the EVIC display, as that is the only screen where the UP and DOWN arrows have no function, then hold the UP button for 5 seconds, then the DOWN button until the hidden EVIC screen appears.

The UP and DOWN buttons will scroll you through the different EVIC screens. The RIGHT ARROW button becomes active when additional screens or actions are available which are noted by the right arrow symbol appearing on the screen. The top speed will appear if you hit the right arrow button when on this screen. Hitting the right arrow again will also zero out the top speed, and hitting the right arrow again will hide the top speed.

(Caution-The RIGHT ARROW button also acts to clear data in some instances, so explore at your own risk. Pressing the COMPASS button alone will take you back to the normal EVIC screens).
