I just recently became the owner of a 2016 SXT and I want to do something about the wimpy exhaust. I think I know what is out there in cat back and axle back systems but I dont think I am ready to drop the $. I have watched videos on You Tube and I think I might want to replace the mid mufflers with Flowmaster Super 10's and leave the factory resinators in place. I have not seen a video of this exact setup as most everyone cuts off the resinators. Anybody here with this setup? I am not looking for super loud as the car will be a daily drive, in town and highway, for both me and my wife. Thoughts?
This is what you want, it sounds and performs awesome.... https://www.jegs.com/i/Borla/157/140650/10002/-1?ymm=4294829555+4294829634+4294829086 I tried to find a resonator delete for this kit but I was unable to find it as the pipes are 2.25 inch, but you may be able to find a shop to delete them for you with some custom pipes.
I just cut off the mids and put straight pipe in it place and you wouldn't believe the difference. $160.00 for both at "The Muffler Shop: in buford I think, I believe they will customize anything. That seemed like one of the cheapest ways to go. It is my daily car and I don't think it is to loud but never know what your looking for. I don't want you to do something you might not like. Me I love it and I had a guy at the car show once told me he did it and he let me hear it. If your in Georgia go to the parade in Hiawassee the Saturday you will have to be there by 9AM. There are a lot of us going. found it: 4800 Bryant Rd, Buford, GA 30518 tell them Chuck with the maroon (octane red pearl) with the demon challengers or peach state challengers and I paid 160.00 unless you have a different set up mine is a 2018 T/A 392
Agreed, this is the cheapest way to go. I deleted my mid muffler/ resonator and you could also delete the cat, however, you'll most likely have emissions issues trying to pass without the cat in most states. I left mine on and just deleted the mid muffler/resonator. It cost me $140 out the door and sounds just as good as if you paid $500-600 for a flow master. Save the dough.
