5.7 R/T Shaker M/T Black was my choice. I love this car. I have some old school muscle cars like a 72 427 Nova Tremec 5 speed, 68 El Camino SS 396 Muncie 4 Speed. Point being in comparison it feels like as much of a muscle car as they do. They are big blocks but the 5.7 hemi with the manual is a blast to drive and with the shaker hood and in black it gets thumbs up everywhere I go.

I ended up getting a White 2018 Scat Pack. Love this car already. Im sure I would have loved the R/T also, but that extra 100hp and the paddle shifters sold me on the scat pack. Wife loves it also.

I haven't loaded pictures to this forum yet and was trying to use Flikr to insert into the post but am having troubles with the mobal flickr web page so I just attached the picture files direct from my phone. Hope that worked. I might update this post tomorrow with better pictures.

I love the rims. The car is crazy fun and crazy stupid fast. Dispite the weight and the 20" rims it's a really nice cruzer also because of the independent suspension and 8 speed transmission, the seeds are so comfortable. Paddle shifters are fun also. And oh man there are so many electronics, gonna take me a week to go learn what each menu does. Im very impressed with this car.

My wife was having sticker shock at the prices of the Scat Packs and loaded R/Ts, but I knew once she drove it she would love it, and that's exactly what happened.

Im thinking of putting some slim profile mud flaps (road grime just coats behind the fenders every time I drive so that will be done for practicality) and doing a black vinyl wrap on the hood for the fun of it (I always like a White muscle car with a black hood, makes it look custom). Then touching nothing else.... Well maybe some fatter tires on the rear. We will see. For now I'm just going to enjoy the car as is, thats easy to do.

Here are a few more pictures. I need to get some out in the sunlight after I wash her next. I thought I might be underwhelmed with the white but its growing on me. i want to add more black accents, not too much, just a bit. Its nice that it is such an awesome car but doesn't stand out like a sore thumb. Almost a sleeper: Cops are less likely to notice I'm speeding, maybe, lol, and when I pull up to cars that are used to just barely beating a regular R/T they are surprised when I pass. I caught a tuned up Pontiac G8 off guard a few days ago. I could tell he was used to beating our stock R/Ts and he was surprised when he couldn't get ahead. He had for sure put some work into his ride. I got of the line faster but his hood stayed right in my left window until we cut back because of traffic.... i mean because of the speed limit, ya, the speed limit.....

The funny thing is drivers actually treat me differently in this car compared to every other car I have owned. Challengers demand respect I guess. These statements are with the caveat that I have only had the car for 5 day but have been driving from Oakland to San Francisco and back each day for work: When someone is trying to cut in a line of backed up cars they always go behind me. If I am trying to change lanes in bumper to bumper traffic, when I put my blinker on and start to turn every car has let me in without fuss. When I stomp the gas on a city street everyone's heads turn (no caveat for the last one WOT on this ting is LOUD).

I am highly impressed with the traction control. I don't ever turn it off (well, if I were ever to do a burn out or attempt donuts I will, but haven't yet and might not). In previous, non performance vehicles I have owned the traction control would pull the vehicle back and slow it down, passing when slippery would turn into not passing. With the Traction Control on the Scat Pack the car is like "I got you, let's go faster". Romp on the gas from a stop and you will hear a little chirping of the tires and it gets a little squirmy in the back but for the most part the car just goes forward hella fast in a straight line. It's a "point and shoot" car. I know the traction control can do a better launch than I can to i just find bottom of the gas pedal, good job Dodge. I'm still bewildered by how fast this car is. I know I would have been happy with the 5.7l but this 6.4L is really something else. 392 is my new favorite number.

I was also worried I would be underwhelmed with the brakes since they are only the 4 pistol, but I'm not racing at a track and the brakes are MORE than adequate for city and high way needs.

I don't plan to do very much to the car but there are a few mods I want to make.

I ordered a Drake Automotive Strut tower brace and it should arrive today. Planning to put a brace on the back also.

Another thing I would like to do is put larger tires on the rear. I have read that the same size tires on the new Widebody will fit the other Challengers even with the stock rims. Is this true? I would love to put some 305/35R20 tires on my Scat Pack, just on the back though. With a black hood it will look old school muscle car.

Mud flaps? Any one know of some slim style mudflaps that don't require drilling and actually work? I hate how road gunk is piling up on the rocker panels. That is not the black accent I want to add, lol. To keep it clean I would have to wash the rocker panels and fenders every time I drive it.
