Hello. I am copying what another very helpful member posted. The only question I have is I have heard about bleeding something when putting in the new tstat. How exactly is that done and where? thx Your vehicle is designed for HOAT (the orange stuff). I cannot stress this enough, you CANNOT mix HOAT and non-HOAT coolants. If so they will react and gel (solidify) inside your cooling system. It's ridiculously easy to change the thermostat, you literally move the hose clamp on the stat neck up so you can pull the hose, then undo the bolts holding the neck (13mm if memory serves) and the thermostat is underneath. Make sure when you put the new one in the bleed hole goes UP (or you'll hate life lol). You won't lose much coolant, all you'll need to do is fill the expansion tank back up to 'cold fill' and run it up to temp, this will help it burp the air out. Once it cools off, you should notice the level dropped, open the cap and some air should escape. Keep repeating this cycle until the level doesn't drop anymore.
There’s a plug on top side of water pump install a bleeder here will post a pic shortly very very helpful Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
