I’m moving in a few months and will be selling my stock tires and wheels locally so I don’t have to take them with. I see the tires sell for over $200 each new, mine have less than $10,000 miles on them. Any idea as to what a fair price to ask would be for the set of 4? $1000? $700? ?????
10,000 miles on the tires is quite a bit so they are really not worth much at all. Regarding the wheels, I've found that take-offs are usually worth around 50% of new pricing depending on the local market.
Agree, unless the tires are new, most used tire/wheel sets are priced on the value of the wheels. But if the tires are economical (cheap) 40,000 mile tires, they still have 75% left, you don't throw them away. If they are better tires, the remaining wear is even better. So if you play it safe and only run them down to 4-5/32nd, you'd still have 50% tread wear left. If nothing else - good enough to do a bunch of smokey burnouts, then put on new ones.
