There are about 23 members viewing this thread as of my post here. How come most of you aren't sticking around and posting updates to you cars now that you are here, if you still have them??

The more posts from members, the more activity it creates for other members to post. There has to be a few of you that can spark of threads to get the ball rolling. :)

I've made the same observation. I think a lot of people are spending a lot of time on news sites (and health news sites) right now. Something has to give.

Great point about Challengers becoming "normal transportation."

We saw that on the LS2GTO.com site a few years ago. When the GTO came out in 2004 and then the new model came out in 2005 there was a lot to talk about. Everyone was learning together. Tracking cars on their journey from Australia to the USA to the dealer. Learning where to get the best deal. Learning how to make the cars faster. By 2013 when I sold my '05 GTO the site paled in comparison to what it once was. Part of that was because everything had been tried. Part of that was that the cars were now often on their 2nd or 3rd owner. And you get a different caliber of owner when it's a $35,000 car (MSRP in 2005 and 2006) compared to the owner that bought one as a $15,000 used car. Not nearly the same pride of ownership.

Challengers have now been around for a dozen years and the "new" has worn off. There was an extra buzz when the Hellcat first came out. And again with the Demon. Not so much with the Hellcat Redeye. I'm stunned at Cruise-Ins and Car Shows how uninformed many owners are about their cars.

LOVED his information. He was a great source of info on a couple of the Pontiac sites "back in the day."

I think an inherent issue with most message boards is when "keyboard courage" goes unchecked. It takes a well-informed team of admins to play referee.

FWIW .... I kinda like the black background. Guess that's why cars come in different colors. I haven't looked at this site ... but I know some sites allow the user to select a color theme. @Shaggy ... Is that possible here?

My Challenger remains stock, no mods at all. The new cars are most difficult to delve into. I have over 40 years as a radio technician, mostly in the analog arena. Today is a completely different ballgame with the electronics. Most all are funneled through the TIPM and into the steering wheel, no more 12 volt. It's just not worth the bother to upgrade "plastic" with stickers and 'glue-on's. To me, there is no more enjoyment, only being bled by the numerous people selling things one needs not or at most, 'meaningless'. The tuners and auto sport people will lead any to believe in fairy tales, pretending to know more than the designers and mechanical engineers who put these cars together. I basically drive my Olds' every day, leaving my Challenger garaged.

You can change the background color to white if you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the site. Look to the left just above the "About Us" text and you will see Challenger Dark. Click on that and choose the Challenger Light skin and you will have a white background. Enjoy. :)

Good question. I haven't been bumped, notifications, in a while. Sometimes new sites pop up, and fun to go to. But for me, it seems FCA monitored sites draw the most when you know they are looking. Not saying that this is the case here, but as with other comments, there are many sites and unfortunately we don't spend the time here as we should. I'll have to look at my facebook settings. I'll post a little something from last fall. Thanks for asking.

Totally understand the "newest" of the challenger has worn off. This is why I hope the decide to create a new generation, with newer tech, and a new look. That could cause alot of buzz. The Demon and Hellcats caused some buzz for sure, but those are very small amounts. If they were to create a whole new look in the next Gen, it could create even more buzz.

Yes, there is a choose between color themes. I posted about that in my post above.

    * That is refreshing. Never knew it was there, never seen it. Thanks very much. I really cannot comprehend how any enjoys reading with a 'black' background. I cannot keep my attention nor thoughts focused.

    * I'd like to see the Barracuda with the Giulia platform FCA has been speaking for years. They're just too slow or try to find ways to outsource the parts for their best profit. I believe they were trying for a 4 cylinder with twin turbo, but who knows. A note of interest, in the eight speed power trains, the platform has been modified to accept such. Therefore, any with the five speed seeking to upgrade to the eight speed cannot be accomplished. Furthermore, the nine speed FCA was working on was recalled due to issues in 2017. I like my five speed , no qualms, none at all.
