doing it is easier said than done, like the old saying goes, cash dont grow on trees, I would love to get one, but not going to have a payment on my car that is more than my house payment.... that would be insane.

Well I decided to do it...sometimes you follow your heart and sometimes you follow your gut. I’m going on both, just feels right. When I walked into the showroom and saw it sitting there....and heard it I was hooked. They are bringing in new rear tires...for some reason they are warn out and the fronts look like new. They had told me I can take delivery Tuesday.

Lone Wolf McQuade had a manually controlled one as well....pull a lever and it engages

Congrats on the buy! You thought your decision through so there shouldn't be any second guessing. Probably would have been kicking yourself for the next couple of years if you DIDN'T buy it. I've had those moments a few times when I should have bought a certain muscle car but didn't, sold a particular muscle car and regretted it... the list goes on. :)
Good luck with it. You should keep the "seasoned" rear tires on the car for a month or two, then put the new tires on once you're done practicing hole shots. lol

Congrats on the purchase.....kinda like my situation.....I didn't/don't need the car at all, I just wanted it.

HA...my house payment is only 560 bucks, including escrow....so basically any newer car or truck is gonna be as much or more for payment.............

But I did look at hellcats...and I chose not to get one as it would have required me to use most of my savings to keep the payment in the range I wanted.

Even with the SRT 392, they bank kept trying to sell me insurance and such, in case I couldn't make the payment, or lost my job......and I just told them to look at my savings....that's what it is for, and is why I keep 4-6 months of living expenses in there.......

And with things as they are now in the world, I'm glad I have that savings account to fall back on if need be.

Congrats on the purchase! Hope you have a good contact with a tire supplier if the car already roasted the first set in 4000 miles.

I’m sure there will be an occasion when I may let a bit of smoke out of the tires but typically I’ve always considered the cost in replacing them.
I’m thinking I’m going to have to change my site name....think, think, think...

Perfect, let the dealer give you the new ones, and you can burn up the old ones, and put the new ones on when your finished...........no need to worry about paying for the replacements.....................

Besides, I bet yer gonna do it a lot more than you think....at least until your loud pedal muscle memory re-adjusts itself

You get in that Hellcat and take off like you use to do in the RT, and yer gonna leave marks..........if not on the street from the tire spin, then in your shorts from the acceleration
