So I've noticed something recently that bugs the crap out of me and was wondering if its the same for a lot of you guys. The tail light clusters have the small round divots where the machines held the parts or casted through.... previously ive seen these on other cars get filled and buffed or be in places that won't be seen once installed. Does everyone else have these or should I be asking the dealer for replacements.

(Yeah she's dirty 1000 miles this month with no days off )[IMG][IMG][IMG]

You’d think they would have a better way
I just removed the DODGE badge off the back to reveal some small alignment dimples. Still better without the Dodge badge.

Since these are common has anyone lightly sanded and buffed these to make them less obvious? I would hate to damage 300+ dollars in lenses trying to sand these put but they are an eyesore to me in an otherwise smexy lens. I was considering a high grit paper simular to what you would water sand a clear coat with then polish it out with plastx or simular polish but id like to see someone else's results if any. I was super suprised to see something like that on a 2020 car when my 2005 dodge stratus sxt doesn't have the first mark on the lenses just seems like a huge oversight for a 40k car when a 17k economy does it much more cleanly lol.

Sanding a lamp lense on your car should be a last resort since it will remove the factory UV protectant layer which will cause the lens to yellow and craze at an accelerated rate. This is a common issue when people try to clean the haze off their headlamp lenses. Many people fail to reapply a UV protectant after sanding and buffing.

As far as the tail lights, I wouldn't mess with them. Good chance you'll see divots where the sanding was feathered out once the lens is polished. Don't worry about them, just drive faster so no one sees them!

I'm considering the wrap idea.. i like the hex around the squoval light and the dark black over the centers. That would draw my eyes away from them enough im sure. I never considered myself ocd but the older I get (after my 20s im 36 now) the more certain things just irk me once I've seen them. The irony is the larger the problem the calmer and more rational i am is the small stuff that gets me everytime lol. For instance a few years back my gf backed into a car in a parking lot and she had let her insurance lapse instead of asking me for money to pay it when she was short on cash, so 750 out of pocket to fix the guys car no sweat no issues no anger....but let my sock get a hole in it at work or my phone freeze up requiring a simple cold boot to fix lol
