I had to put it back to the FACTORY Tune while dealing with "The Dealer"
and lost power, and down to an average of 18.9 MPG.
I put the "93 octane CAI Tune" back on, and I am back up to an average of 20.3 on the 1st tank and noticeably more power. Should be back to 22 mpg next tank.

If I'm having the car professionally tuned, couldn't they just tune it to eliminate the lag?

Ok if I’m understanding correctly what throttle controllers and tuners do and I could be completely wrong but what I’ve figured out is they set the butterfly valve in the throttle body to stay open at a given angle in order to give a quicker throttle response. For example with my tuner I set the throttle at 20% so instead of the butterfly valve closing it stays open at a 20% angle and to change that I have hook the tuner up and go through the process and I’m pretty sure the shop that you’re having tune your car will be doing basically the same. Now, the throttle controllers like the pedal commander is able to change that angle on the fly with the display buttons. Also from what I’ve gathered the actual MDS system is inside the engine and can only truly be removed/deleted by tearing down the engine. Supposedly it turns off the fuel injectors to 4 of the cylinders so they stop spraying. Therefore making your v8 a 4 cylinder. The tuner I have which is the diablosport 3 claims it overrides that so all 8 injectors spray all the time so it’s kinda disabling the MDS system but if it actually does that I don’t know but I do know I have a lot better throttle response and no lag after installing the 93 tune. So even though you get the shop to tune your car I would still keep the pedal commander installed. Sorry this is so long and I hope it helps.

I did. It’s great. But I am installing a Ripp supercharger and getting my car professionally tuned by a racing company so I am wondering if I will still need it, or if they can just “tune out the lag”.
