The Ripp supercharger comes with what they call a “safe” tune. I already contacted the best dyno tuning place in town to tune my car. So you’re saying I should just tell them to keep the boost at 8 or less and I shouldn’t have anything to worry about? Thanks for the information. I hear the Ripp is in such demand that orders are taking 7 weeks. I have some money coming in the next month that I was putting towards getting this done, but as I store my car for the winter, if I can’t get this done soon I might be waiting until spring.

If you are set on a Centrifugal, I would get a Procharger. They have a really good air to air intercooler. I don't know much about the Ripp but it may be very similar so check into that.

When you order your kit the pulley size is what will determine the Boost level. That all has to be figured out before the kit is ordered. If you went with a Procharger I know from experience that the 3.5 inch pully will get you 6.5 to 7 psi on a stock 5.7 with their P1SC1 supercharger.

Keep in mind that I live in the Fargo, North Dakota area. Not a lot of custom shops. I had 7 different places turn me down on putting a supercharger in my car, and had another quote me a price to do it of between $13-17,000.00. I gave up on it then had a guy actually contact me saying he had just put the Ripp in a Jeep with the same motor as I have. That’s one reason why I went with Ripp and not another company. If I went with Sprintex I would have had to replace the hood. The Ripp is considered the best supercharger for the V6 Challenger according to most people I talk to.

Oh yeah, you got the V6! Yes I agree Ripp has the V6s nailed. Doesn't Edelbrock have an Eaton roots style for the Challenger V6? You could do the install and tuning on that quite easily yourself (using an email tuner).

I don’t even change my own oil. Lol. I have no problem paying for what I want done on my car. The Ripp installed at one place here was $3000, and they had never installed one before. I didn’t feel like paying for them to experiment. Found a guy who had just installed one and he’ll do mine for $1350. Takes 2 or 3 days to do.

I'm only at 4.8 psi boost on mine, a safe tune as far a breaking things.

In response to jj(Baby Metal). To get this 2010 5.7 to 480whp required Magnuson 6psi, long tubes, complete Corsa with high flow cats, K&N intake, HP Tuner. This one from factory dyno'd at 320whp. The 22" 285 Nito's provide quite a traction improvement. If you're reliant on others for installation would recommend buying something that someone else has made the investment in!

Well my 2013 Challenger RT already has some of those mods but yes I’m reliant on others for advice on installing other mods because I don’t know how to do everything and if I did I wouldn’t be on here asking for advice!
