It sounds fantastic to me but as it is an automatic (A8), there is a passing moment of harmonics on automatic upshifts under moderate throttle (usually around 2000 rpm). Nothing at light throttle or heavy throttle, and zero on the highway. In manual mode, it's kind of fun to play with the throttle to modulate the harmonics at will. Very satisfying rumble at low speeds while cruising through parking lots and neighborhoods! :D

Well, most exhaust brands do have catless mids for sale. so that is just like cutting off the cats.

I hope those two idiots become the poster children for an anti-modified truck movement that sees all these highjacked, coal rolling morons getting swept off American roads!

While that is certainly true (and has been for years), vehicle owners should be aware that the aftermarket is full of parts and equipment that if installed and used on their cars, present potential legal liabilities to them. Specifically, these parts and equipment are designed and sold for the express purpose of eliminating or defeating emissions equipment on their vehicles, which is is illegal if the vehicle is operated on public roadways. The loophole that equipment manufacturers and retailers have long utilized is to include statements in their advertising that the equipment is for "off-road-only-use". All this does is essentially transfer liability to the end user.
Getting back to the removal of catalytic converters on our cars, although many people do it in a misguided quest for more power, it's been shown time and again that unless you are building a race car, all you're accomplishing by removing the cats is lowering your power output and increasing the noise level of the exhaust.

I installed the MFER-1 on my 2020 scat pak a couple of months ago. not enough sound for me. Looking to go with the mid muffler delete and replace resonators with a magnaflow or flowmasters. Magnaflow just came out with a new X-mod cat back system you might look at. Gives you the ability to convert back and forth between mufflers and straight pipe but its $2800.

I agree that the MFER-1 kits did not get me where I wanted to be. I knew they were only a first step. Over the years I've built and modified a lot of cars, both for myself and for my customers. My experience has shown me that the best way to do performance mods is to do them incrementally. By that I mean do one mod at a time. That gives you the opportunity to verify the value of the mod. Does it give you the improvement you expected? Did it negatively effect anything else? Throwing multiple mods at a car simultaneously makes it virtually impossible to verify the value of each mod. Sometimes certain groups of components have a known, verified effect and therefore a well known track record and therefore you can get away with doing them simultaneously with little concern. Exhaust systems "can" fall into that category if you are fortunate enough to be able to hear a specific configuration first hand. Unfortunately, most people aren't that lucky and they are left with listening to clips online and/or utilizing the old trial and error method. I fell into the latter group. Having little experience with modern Dodge products, I spent a lot of time talking to people and researching different components. In the end, I drew on past experience as well as research I did online to come up with a process whereby I felt I would stand the best chance of obtaining a sound in my car that made me happy. At times during the process, I was a little skeptical as to whether I would actually end up happy but persistence paid off and I couldn't be happier! The one thing I would pass on to others after going though this process is that since I basically ended up building the Flowmaster American Thunder system, I would suggest that you should simply just buy that system right from the start.

Just stopped my local muffler shop and they recommended to cut all 4 mufflers out and just run straight pipes, is anyone running straight pipes? Or should just go with the Flowmaster Outlaw system?

This may create a very raspy sound with loud internal drone. It all depends what you like. Go to YouTube and search Challenger exhaust mods. It will give you a bit of an idea.
