I definitely would not go with straight pipes but of course that's a subjective call. If nothing else, it's way too loud and tons of drone.

I agree too. It'll be too loud and raspy. After listening to some sound clips on You Tube and you really want to go this route, at least do it in steps. Either do the mid-mufflers OR the resonators and see if you like it. Have the shop do it in a way that you can re-install them if needed.
Seems a lot of owners are doing the resonator delete. IMO, I don't think it provides a deep tone and it also gives you a popping raspy sound at high rpm's and deceleration. It all depends on what you want.

Even in Apache Junction I still would not do JUST Straight Exhaust.

    If you want LOUD:

when I bought my 2009 RT used in New Jersey in 2011. it had straight pipe exhaust. lol, they actually had it labeled a FLOWMASTER exhaust. I said , yeah, flows straight through for sure.. the trip back to Louisiana wasn't too bad as on the high way it was just business as usual. nice sound, little drone.. but when I had to stop and it down shifted and all, it made all kinds of racket. as soon as I got home I took it by the exhaust shop and had magnaflows put on, had to stay in the good graces of the local police forces around where I live. but I now have a solo performance system.
looking to put cut outs on sometime or another. just for shits and giggles for car shows and what not...lol

I have a M6 so i do not think drone will be a problem. I have had over the years 3 Pontiac's with 400 4 spd's ( 2 1968 Firebirds & 1979 T/A) and i ran cherry bomb glass packs on all of them, loved the sound and the cracking when downshifting.

Leaning towards the Flowmaster Outlaw cat back.

had cut outs on a 76 nova fastback drag car with a 11.75:1 compression. i did not like them a pain in the rear.

Believe me when I tell you that these Challengers are raspy and droney (is that even a word?) by nature, so if you like that, you really don't have to do much except remove all 4 mufflers and then install a couple glass packs. But if you like a deeper old-school tone, I would recommend a chambered Flowmaster muffler.

Thanks to all for the feed back.
I was able to hear a scat pack with straight pipes and it was loud with no tone so i think i will just stick with the flowmaster cat back system.
