How many of you guys have a full size spare tire in your trunk? Here is a guy who purchased one but didn't want it to take up a lot of room in his trunk.
Ouch. Think of the dirty marks that tire is leaving on the cloth upholstery, especially if the sidewall had any tire dressing on. Now that I think of it, it's funny that I can only fit TWO tires in my Challenger trunk including having the rear seats folded down. The daughter's 2014 Dart could fit all four in her Dart with the rear seat folded down. Also found out that you can't move the front seats back (toward rear of car) all the way with the rear seats folded down. Ever try it? The buckets lose a lot of rear travel and makes it very uncomfortable to drive unless you're really short.
Other than taking my 2 grandkids for a ride the rear seat is useless. I’m 6’-4” and need my seat all the way back. I hope there wasn’t any brake dust on that wheel No spare tire in mine, just the repair kit.
No spare tire came with my car, just an air compressor and some injectable goop. I used it once for a nail in my tire. If your tire gets sliced, it's completely useless.
I have a spare tire kit from Modern Spare....only carry it on road trips tho.... With AAA being the backup..............
I have the donut in my trunk. the compressor with that goop I took out. dont ever use that goop crap. it will ruin your TPMS sensors.
when going to the track, I used to haul my drag radials in the back seat. i put one of those mover blankets on the seats though, I put my front skinnies in the truck, along with my tool box, air tank, jack, and what ever else I needed for that race day, and yes, when you put that back seat down it does make for some cramped quarters to drive.. I have done it before.
Yes, this happened to me a couple of weeks ago at night, debris from an accident cut my front passenger tire, no jack no spare luckily I was able to limp home without damaging rim, and try finding a used 275/40/20 ended up finding a 275/35/20, my TA sits low couldn't roll lo profile jack under found two pieces of two by four drove on them to raise it high enough, this is my second Challenger, I got my first in 1973 it was a 70 340 jack and spare, how times have changed, ordered matching tire, any suggestions on spare?
I've resigned myself to the fact that although I have a huge trunk, my car is now as helpless after a flat as any other supercar! I have AAA so no biggie.
