Is that with or without the controller needed for it to run ?

Not nearly as impressive as a 426 or 392 with a Roots Style blower

FCA is offering these crate motors as a pre-1980 application. Most of the older Mopars, can easily be adapted since there are no modern electronics to contend with.

Also, most of the older Chargers, Road Runners, Coronets, Challengers and 'Cudas etc., have massive engine bays (i.e., they were built to accomodate 440 and 426 engines), which make it much easier to fit components to support the engine.

This complete engine assembly includes a supercharger with throttle body, fuel injectors, coil packs, water pump, front sump oil pan and flexplate.

Builders who prefer a manual transmission can purchase the following:
    • Flywheel (part # 05038113AD)
    • Flywheel to crankshaft bolts (part # 06504398)
    • Clutch and pressure plate assembly (part # 05038769AB)
    • Clutch to flywheel bolts (par t# 06508880AA)
Also available is a Front End Accessory Drive (FEAD) Kit (part # 77072492), which includes an alternator, power-steering pump, belts, pulleys and mounting hardware.

And the older hemi's somehow managed on 1 plug per cylinder! I suspect the significant number of Hellcat's available on the used market in greater Vancouver is due to fuel mileage (more expensive to fill in most parts of Canada than the US). I struggle justifying the fuel expense of 550hp never mind something greater.

In the 1980s Japanese manufacturers reduced unburned hydrocarbons by placing spark plugs either in the exhaust pipe (which fired with every piston ignition) or in the exhaust manifold (which fired each time their corresponding cylinder fired). Chrysler morphed this idea to include dual fired plugs on each cylinder, which allows the firing to take place closer to top dead center, and then again when the piston is on the back side of the power stroke. This also reduces NOx and ozone. Full combustion results in heat, water, and carbon dioxide. NOx emissions are only significant during incomplete or partial combustion, due to the lack of available oxygen, high temperatures, and various chemical reactions. That's why catalytic converters have been standard on cars for the past 3 decades. The extra set of spark plugs on the HEMI, and on previous engines, are designed to reduce emissions before a catalyst is needed. They add some horsepower, but not very much."

Ive never worried about justifying the gas I use. The car is used on weekends and as long as you keep the spirited driving to a minimum it really isn’t that bad on gas. I have never figured out the milage I’m getting...dont care!

Two thumbs up! Totally agree, except I don't keep "spirited driving" to a minimum. I love the look of my car but I love driving it even more and there's no point of having car like if you're gonna drive it like any old family car.
