2016 Challenger sxt plus help needed

    I'm looking at a used B5 blue Challenger and I'm hoping someone can tell me from the photo what this is.

    Passenger side rear looks like it's connected to a sway bar link. It's a braided strap that has broken off of one side. What is this?

    One more thing should I see a faint over spray underneath, is that common from the factory or has it been repainted?

    The overspray is factory, I wish they painted the entire underside completely., I dont see the the strap in the picture you supplied.

    Hi thanks for clearing that up. The strap apparently is a grounding strap on the exhaust. Where does it attach to?

    I’m not sure I’ve ever noticed that.
    I’ll have a look later to see if my HC has that strap.

    The exhaust grounding strap helps to minimize corrosion. Also, it suppresses electrical noise that can interfere with the radio, TPMS, etc.

    Thanks for verifying that for me. I'm surprised the Dodge dealership did not notice this. The car is currently for sale as a certified pre owned. I'm interested but a little leary as well.

    Not sure about any of that. As I recall, the ground strap is for the O2 sensors.

    I had a look underneath mine, apparently the HC doesn’t have the same strap. I’d push back to the dealer to make it right.

    Quite a bit of rust and corrosion. What year's the car and where does it live?
