For those of you who have sunroofs, you may find this diagram useful. It shows the location of the four drains.
After speaking with a Dodge factory rep about sunroofs, the Challenger is one car I would never get one on.
Not partial to the convertible, nor the use of air conditioning, sunroof is an important feature. Sure many of us recall the manual versions (which I had in a Duster). Less work than the removable top in the Corvette coupe. Really missed not having one in the 370Z. Great being able to open it a little or a lot.
I heard that many owners experience rattles and leaks. I never liked sunroofs and feel that they do not belong on a retro-designed car. What did you learn from the Dodge rep?
In order for them to retain as much structural integrity as possible, they had to do a lot of reinforcing of the roof, which added a lot of weight and cost. In the end, it’s still responsible for a huge percentage of warranty claims. He suggested that he would avoid the option at all costs.
