Can someone explain the active exhaust in the R/T Scat Pack? Let me rephrase my question... I know it is a electric flap but how does it work? I meant the sound, how does that work, does it just deaden the sound? My Camaro had quad tips and if it was closed it would go through the 2 inside tips (quiet), when opened it goes through the outside 2 tips (loud).
It’s a valve that closes which reduces the diameter of the exhaust output. It’s like a throttle butterfly valve that has a smaller hole cut in it. There is A string on this site discussing this.
