. . .as I understand it, on the Santa Fe RR portion of the car transport trip, at every major station, select cars -especially Octane Red Challengers- are off loaded and test driven for at least a hundred miles to make sure there has been no shipping damage. Not sure why they have to do this every hundred miles or so, but I really do think it has something to do with the color of the new cars. Oh don't be surprised if there are minimal miles on your car when you get it, these railroaders are trained how to turn back the odometer to the original mileage. BTW, the shortage of railway cars is a myth, it's the railroads way of an excuse for always being late. Enjoy your ride, . . . when you get it.

 

The HK system isn't worth the money. IMO. Unfortunately it came installed on mine. With Borla exhaust you can't hear it well - unless you crank it up - then with the sub in the trunk it sounds awful, the sound is all disconnected.

 

I was somewhat bummed that I couldn't find the R/T that I wanted with an HK system... After reading this, I'm glad that I didn't. My Alpine system sounds fine, though it could use a slight bump in the bottom-end.

 

The HK in my 2020 RAM 1500 is great. I did not like it in the Challenger.

 

I got lucky. Started my 'build' on the Dodge website and my dream build was at a dealer 60 miles away.
