Is it me or do these cars dent with pretty much no effort. If the sheet metal on these cars gets any thinner it will be aluminum foil. Still love the car.

I never noticed any ease of denting. My Challenger has a tiny dent from the factory/dealer on the belt-line but that was the only dent I had on either of my Challengers (Garage kept, never driven on bad roads, always conscious of where I parked, and didn't own them for long).

That being said, they're a whole lot of flat sheet metal lol, that probably makes it easier to flex and more noticeable when it does dent.

Yes,. they do dent easily......blame it on the EPA....lighter thinner panels in an effort to save money and get better mpg

I think they are cheaply made as well. When I first waxed my car (by hand) I noticed how easy it was to push in the metal. Not impressed at all but it is what it is. Same with the plastic wheel wells. Cheap!!!
I really enjoy my car though and I'm glad that I can keep it out of the elements 99% of the time and in the garage. I really apply the protective products to everything so with it being 'babied' I hope it can last for many. many years. My Trans Am and Mustang are not made that much better (but they are a bit better) and they have lasted well. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Most modern cars are that way. But I think it's more pronounced on the challenger because it's basically flat.

No doubt they're made cheaply but that's how you get a 40k car with 485hp and upgraded interior
