RT to HC.jpg Traded up recently. My '18 R/T was a daily driver but the HC will be weekends only. It has only been hand washed and never seen a wet road. I'm considering ceramic coat... not sold on it yet. There's some satisfaction to a wax job. But that's not the question.
Paint correction... Factory fresh paint is nice but close examination reveals flaws. Specifically mild orange peel, not everywhere but here and there. Has anyone here had a pro correction job? Did it smooth out the bumps? Or am I just too damned picky (like the bride says)?

I have seen some beautiful corrections done and in my opinion well worth it. If you’re going to do ceramic you’d want to do it right after the correction work.
I did some light polishing with Meguiars products with pretty decent results.

Yes, I had mine pro detailed. He spent a lot of time doing a paint correction which really helped eliminate the factory orange peel. Well worth it. It reflects like a mirror now.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm meeting a detailer to see what it's all going to run.

Have you thought about PPF? It will not only protect your finish from water spots, but will protect from chips happening from driving as well, Ceramic coat will keep the shine but will not protect your paint from getting scratches from debris flying onto the car especially with such a massive front end like we have on our cars.
