Most law enforcement cars are 4 doors for obvious reasons so no surprise that SC went with the Chargers. I really would not want a Charger these days with so many scumbags out there thinking it might be an unmarked police car. It is too bad articles are not proof read before being published (charges instead of Chargers ) It's cool for the troopers to get such fast cars. Not much else for them in these times. https://news.yahoo.com/c-highway-patrol-unveils-unmarked-095200458.html
Florida has marked and unmarked Chargers and Challengers. A few years back ... FHP had a Burgundy/maroon unmarked Mercury Marauder that had 22" rims. I saw a lot of surprised people sitting on the side of the road.
Haven't seen many Chargers in AZ but we have unmarked SUVs. Vans, Pickup trucks, and some soccer moms sedans
In East Central Minn. many local counties have been using Chargers for at least 6 years. Most are marked cars with only 3.6 Pentastar motors. I asked one deputy "who are you going to catch" and his answer was that they were not allowed to pursue criminals. As to not wanting a Charger, I have a 2020 R/T that I park beside my 2020 Scat Pack Challenger. The Charger is more practical when it comes to driving my grandkids around.
^^^ Definitely a need for 4 doors in those instances. No worries about being mistaken for a patrol car when toting young ones around.
