That is what I wanted to hear! Some people that actually have the 1320 and are satisfied with it and do not regret not getting a different trim. Although it seems everyone that has the WB likes it too. I'm thinking I should go with my original intention of the 1320. I better call the dealer tomorrow so I don't lose the current trade value (although it looks like the value hasn't changed yet). Its been going on a week since I said I would call to order so he must be wondering by now.
I definitely love my wide body but you are right, it can come dangerously close to base hellcat territory. My Shaker Scat's MSRP was $64,330 and I got it for just few thousand under that. I feel that the upgrades make me happy compared to a base non wide body Hellcat. I hope to get the Hellcat down the road. That being said, the 1320 is cool and more rare, but with a bit less visual attitude. You will love either one!
Wow, that thing must be totally loaded! I was building one with just about all the options except for tech and sunroof and I added the carbon interior and wheels and it still came in just under 60k. Now if I were to add the shaker, it does go up to just over 62k and that is a lot for muscle car IMO. That is why I'm thinking a nearly loaded 1320 for around 54k isn't too bad, but then again not really that much of a difference. I was kind of thinking of waiting and paying off the balance on my Stang too, but then again with the bump in trade in values helping out the down payment (for me right around 20k at the moment), I shouldn't be in that bad of a situation in a year or two if I wanted to trade for a Hellcat before they are gone for good and the battery cars start taking over.
In 2016 I originally had my heart set on finding a slightly used 2014 Challenger R/T Anniversary Edition in Octane Red. I ended up with a brand new 2015 R/T Plus that sat on a lot for year in a small town in southern Ohio in B5blue with a fairly rare blk/wht interior. I'm happy with the decision. I think you're thinking too much about this. You answered your own question several times in your posts. Go order your 1320. Once it's in your driveway all your other concerns will be answered by you thinking of how much you enjoy the new set of wheels. Face it, you'll like whatever you end up buying so get it now.
Yeah, I just have to call him to put the deposit down to order it. I keep putting it off since it is a lot of money and I keep thinking what if something happens with my job or something. I know I could get another job, but you never know if that were to happen the new job may not pay as good. I'm also thinking about that car in Arizona that is almost exactly like what I am thinking of ordering except it doesn't have the carbon interior package. I'm not sure if having that one option is worth the 2 months or so wait? But then again it would be much easier to just trade my car in on one I would order here in my state rather than having to sell my car separately and having the other one shipped and everything involved with buying a car out of state. Plus I have never ordered a car and it would be nice to have my name on the window sticker and be the only person ever to drive it.
Here's an example of how well the 1320 performs at the drag strip. In this video, the 1320 races against a Camaro ZL-1 (650 hp supercharged). The 1320 beats the Camaro off the line (the Camaro driver had a slow reaction time- .687 sec.) and also gets to the 1/8 mile first. However, the hp of the Camaro ultimately wins, as it runs an 11.34 sec. to the 1320's 11.71 sec. 1/4 mile. Start watching at the 6:00 minute mark.
That is pretty impressive. IDK, I just saw a torred widebody in a small town close to mine today and it looked sharp. I have only recently noticed a couple of them in the area. Most are the normal body, but I don't think any 1320's yet, but it is hard to tell at a glance.
Bobcat, you're very good at answering your own questions. I thought your post this morning would have said you pulled the trigger on ordering one. (Consider just dealing with any financial issues when they come up IF they every do.)
Well I put my order in for a Sinamon Stick 1320 with most of the options tonight. The dealer is estimating 7-9 weeks so doesn't sound too bad.
Excellent, be sure to post some pics of it when she comes in. I don’t see many Challengers in Sinamon Stick.
