I had a car show in a small town 10 miles away and instead of getting gas where I normally do I figured I’d just get it there before coming back. Normally I run 91 octane and that’s what I put in there, but for the next week my car didn’t perform very well. I ran it down until my fuel light came on, then added some Lucas Fuel Injector Cleaner and put in 17 gallons of Costco 92 octane, which is considered the best gas in town. I then drove out of town, stopped, turned on the Dragy and floored it until I hit 110mph. Almost back to normal. Be careful out there where you buy your gas, it can make a big difference. By the way, $3.26 per gallon for 92 octane here.

[email protected] mph is fantastic for a 3.6. This is what I turn in my stock 6.1 SRT. I assume your engine is supercharged or turbocharged?

This wasn’t my best time, just yesterday’s time. This was also with a subwoofer box in the trunk and 315/35/20s in the rear. Getting a dyno on August 14th, and September 18th is the soonest I can get an official 1/4 mile time slip. I put in the Ripp Heritage Edition supercharger this spring, which is the only performance mod I have done. Almost got it where I want it. It’s nice being able to do a 0-60 run in 4.8 seconds while getting 31.2mpg at 75mph.

Those really are great numbers, especially the 60 ft time... and the total ET. That subwoofer may be helping the rearend hook up unless you keep the traction control on.
Good reminder on bad gas too. When I'm looking to fill up, I never stop at a station where the tanker is filling up the station's supply. I read where the filling action can mix water and other contaminants which were settled in the tank resulting in an bad fill-up. Not sure how true, but better safe than sorry.

Thanks. My tuning guy sent me a transmission update last night. I loaded it onto the car then popped a quick 0-60 pull on the way to work today. Not too shabby.

I've adhered to the 'tanker theory' for many years. Same explanation, especially about the crud at the bottom of the tanks getting mixed around until it settles again.
if you see a truck filling up the tanks, MOVE ON!!

Got the bad gas all worked out and my tuner sent me a transmission update. Getting closer to where we want to be.
