I certainly did not buy my Scat Pack for gas mileage but surprised that during break-in using various RPM ranges I have only averaged 11.7 MPG. Most driving is in sport mode with an occasional short blast on track mode. No extended full throttle quarter mile, 1/8 mile or 0-60 runs. The car feels great but I thought it might average 15 or more. What are you guys experiencing? Feedback appreciated- Thanks!

It might be worse than that if you're source is the factory system display. My supercharged R/T is similar (MDS off). These things are gluttonous on fuel. Hellcat's and beyond have to be significantly worse.

is it really that poor on fuel?? I had no idea. I'd like to hear from other owners about the gas mileage. Like the OP stated, no one buys these cars for gas economy but 11 mpg is brutal. :disgust:

I have a 2015 RT Plus with the 5.7 and AT. I mostly due city - stop and go driving and I'm getting between 18.5 and 20.5 mpg depending on my driving "habit" and if I've kept it in Sports Mode a lot. I've gotten around 24 mpg highway on trips.

I have a 21 RT 5.7 with 2400 miles on it, it is a daily driver, and in town I get 13.8 MPG on the HWY I get 26 to 27 MPG. As you said, we didn't buy it for its MPG! LOL. I went from $75 month for my 18 Colorado Crew Cab V6 to $50 a week and I wouldn't change a thing!

2016 Challenger Scat Pack. I average around 16 mpg driving near Myrtle Beach. On the highway I have no problem getting 22 or 23 mpg. On a trip to Nashville I got 27.6 mpg at speeds up to 75mph. Even if you take 1 or 2 mpg off of that because you don't trust the factory display, it is still darn good mileage for a 485 HP vehicle.
If you keep it in Sport mode it will suck gas. Not sure why you would always want it there.

Thank You. Only 15,000 miles since 2016.
We moved from Ohio where it stayed in my garage and never saw snow, to the Myrtle Beach area (way out of the flood zones!) In Nov 2020. So it comes out a lot more down here.
