2014 Challenger R/T (77k miles) has a vibration in the steering wheel at slow speeds (in and out of parking spaces) and only when the steering wheel is maneuvered to the left. I had an alignment done and tires balanced and my tires are good. Any idea what this might be?
You certainly hit on the things that I would think it was too. Power steering fluid?? Too low or unchanged over the years?? Probably not since it's so specific an issue but no harm in checking.
You mentioned only low speeds, parking spaces. Only other idea I have is if that tire is rubbing on something inside the wheel well when you have the steering fully clocked to one of the end stops. That would be probably the only time you'd have the wheels turned all the way. Are you running the factory wheels and tire size?
Could be the rack....symptoms are the same on my 2012 Ram, and I've been told it will need a new rack & pinion.....thank goodness for having the lifetime warranty on it...... It had less than 34,300 miles on it by the way.....
