Top Speed is reporting that Dodge will be releasing a new 'Cuda model for 2022. Engines will be a 6.2, 3.6 and 2.4 (Tigershark). Will this really happen? Stay tuned. 2021 Dodge Barracuda: Is It Really Happening? (topspeed.com)
The 'Cuda stories remind me of some buddies that bought a BUNCH of Iraqi Dinars under the belief that they will become valuable some day. They've been waiting about a decade so far
With so many Challenger styles available I'm not real excited about a Dodge Barracuda. With the Plymouth name dead and gone apparently, I'd prefer NOT to see it happen. If it did happen, I will certainly give Dodge credit for keeping gas powered engines alive. That's always a good thing in today's times.
IMO it would be good if a Cuda was introduced. It could be the next generation/revised version of the Challenger that wouldn't take away anything from the current (old) design. I don't see it happening. I don't think Stellantis is interested in a niche market. I hope I'm wrong.
Car companies always play around and reuse names. How about the 1971-72 Dodge Demon (Dart) morfing into the 2018 Demon Challenger?
