Cold Weather and CAI are a good match

    I doubt if either hood would make much of a performance difference. The shaker from 1970-1971, was bolted directly on top of the carburetor and provided up to 5 mph at the top end of the drag strip. The present shaker does not have such a direct air flow connection.

    The HC hood, without the HC air box (headlight access) will, similarly, not produce any additional power.

    My performance was extremely effected by the temperature. I would do a 0-60 pull this summer on the way to work when it was cooler and then do one after work when it was 95 degrees out and my numbers would be drastically different. I actually just got my best 0-60 time this morning when it was 35 degrees out. I think a 12.38 1/4 mile run in a supercharged SXT Plus V6 with 315/35/20s in the rear is pretty damn good.
