^^^ Thank you for the nice post. You are not alone about initial disappointment from a dealership. It can spoil the ownership experience.

Just a quick story about my elderly neighbor when he was one of the very first to order the 'new' 2002 Ford Thunderbird (long waiting list). The dealer jerked him around so much, plus asking for more $$$ along the way, just spoiled the entire experience when it finally arrived. He rarely drove it and sold it within one year. I tried to get him to forget about the dealership and just enjoy the car but the damage was done.

Camera ... The backup camera quality in my 2015 Challenger and our 2017 Durango are both pretty good. Better than other vehicles we've owned. I wonder if Dodge changed suppliers?

Seats ... I rarely used the heated/vented seats ... but my wife prefers the on-the-dash buttons for the heated seats like in my 2011 Challenger, our 2013 Charger, and my 2016 Chevy SS.

Wipers ... I'm guessing your comment is about the wiper blade arms. I changed to Bosch Icon blades very quickly. Haven't looked back.

Windows ... I miss that I could roll the windows down on my 2011 Challenger R/T from the key fob. That was a great convenience here in Florida.

I really do wonder if Dodge changed camera suppliers. The camera in my 2015 Challenger is definitely better than then one in my daughter's 2017 Ford Edge.

I'm grateful that I live in Florida and don't have to worry about snow, ice, salt, and chemicals speeding the rusting process.

I think Dodge might have upgraded the hood seal. The one in my 2011 failed fairly quickly. The one in my 2015 is holding up very well.

And I'm with you on the Ram head logo on the 2008 - 2010 models.

My car is kept outside under a car cover and the rubber hood seal lasted for 11 years. I hope the new one lasts as long.

the one thing that I believe is the worst design on the early 2000's challengers is the location of the turn signal lights on the dash. you can barely see them even when they are lit up, plus they are real small. half the time I'm not sure they are lighting up cause I cant see them.

When you open the door and the window goes down 1/2", works great in summer but freezes solid on cold winter morning the window won't seat properly when you close door until things warm up

That Dodge decided to lock the owner out of the ECU. Ford and GM ECU's are open for customer adjustments. Only the TCM is locked.

That is why we have a Tremec 6 Speed manual in our RT/Classic Super Track pack, which has an extra 10 hp!

My 2010 came with a CD player. That is not the fault of Challengers, Dodge or the automotive industry, we live in a streaming culture and CDs are not popular any more like they were 10 years ago. I have over 6000 CDs and I listen to none of them, they are all ripped to my 4 TB hard drive. I have a full U-Connect in my 2013 RAM Sport and I do not miss the CD at all.
