My 2020 GT awd, just with a tune (hp tuners) I can do 0-60 in 5.8 on 93 octane. The car barely will screech the tires but it does move quickly 3.07 gears. However does it have the torque or magic of my ex 70 440-6 cuda matching # 's , you can't buy that smell or sound ect...

This is just like a Scat Pack running neck-in-neck with a Hellcat, from 0-60 mph. However, the Hellcat wins big on the top end of a 1/4 mile drag race.

Our Highway Patrol uses the Charger with the V6 engine and says its top end is good to 150 MPH.

The classic muscle cars were designed for acceleration and not top speed. I agree that the 3.6 would have a higher one than a Challenger with a 440 Six-Pack that could only reach 125 mph. That, however, does not mean it could beat a 440 Six-Pack in a 1/4 mile drag race.

If you want to bench race, you can play around with this 1/4 mile estimator.

Just plug in the horsepower and weight numbers for a 2021 Challenger SXT (305 hp, 3,858 lbs.)
and a 1970 Challenger R/T (390 hp., 3,671 lbs.), you will get the following numbers:

    2021 SXT- 14.10 sec. @101.5 mph
    1970 R/T- 12.78 sec. @112 mph

This estimator is cool but wouldn't the rear gear ratio make a difference in all the times and trap speed? In simplistic terms, a car (300 hp / 3,500 lbs) running a gear ratio of 2.80 will have slower times and trap speed than the same car with a 3.75 ratio unless I'm missing something.

The Police Chargers do not have the Limiters on them and have a few more tweaks to them that certainly would wake up an SXT....

As for the Rear End if the SXT's all had the 3:07 instead of that 2:65 it would help especially with a Tune on it and High Flow Filter installed.

    But a 3875ish lb's and its 270 to 274 rwhp its impressive from a 221 C.I. Engine.

A standard 392 SPWB Challenger 8 spd. auto will still outrun that Highway Patrol Charger.

I have a 2020 challenger 3.6l gt all stock with a custom tune I can get 5.8 0-60 according to the dash panel. However I did have a 70 cuda 440-6 4speed all original. You could never hook up!! A boat load of torque.

Sort of like a HC, Red Eye or SS Challenger Vs. 392 Challenger SPWB.
