New owner of a 2015 Challenger R/T Plus. Wondering if anyone knows the minimum size (hopefully 215 or 225) and the maximum size (hoping 255) tires that fit on the 20"×8" rims. Have 245/45zr/20 on all four wheels now. Thanks, Chuck

After re-reading your post it sounds like you want to STAGGER front and rear tire heights. :boxed:

I would NOT Recommend that drastic of a height difference.
My 2010 SRT came from the factory with 245/45/20 and 255/45/20
And I replaced them with 275/40/20's all the way around.
Wanted to go old school Skinny-FAT, but the forged SRT rims are 9"

    Welcome to challengerforum.com

A 245/45-20 is the widest tire that will fit on an 8-inch wheel. A 225/40-20 is the narrowest tire that will fit on an 8-inch wheel. The problem, however, is that a 245/45-20 aspect ratio tire has a 28.7-inch diameter and a 225/40-20 has a smaller 27.1-inch diameter. This will throw your speedometer off.

Either buy wider wheels (e.g., 9 or 10-inch) with the proper offset, or keep the 245/45-20s that you have.

Welcome, glad you decided to join the forum. In case you're not sure, your 2015 RT PLUS came from the factory with 20' x 8.0" wheels. (I confirmed with my build sheet.)

Thanks for all the replies.. wanted wider rear tires, narrower fronts, sorta old school... love the 8" rims so I will keep researching to find narrower, taller fronts etc.

Don't go below a 225 with your 8-inch rims. That size tire will not wear or perform properly. Look at the following diagram (image on the right).

Welcome! Thankfully, everybody else already answered your tire questions because I'm not all that great at it yet!
