Anyone wanting to avoid unsightly holes in their front bumper, due to the license plate frame mount, should use this easy "no-drill" alternative (I did):

Items needed (can be purchased at Home Depot or Lowes):

    1 pair 6-inch 1/4" spring toggle bolts
    1 factory front plate bracket
    black rubber tubing
    1 Phillips screwdriver

    Installation (10 minutes):

1.) Remove the spring toggles from the bolts and insert the bolts in the top 2 holes of the plate bracket. Replace the spring toggles (make sure they open towards the rear of the bracket - otherwise they will pull through the grille).
2.) Turn the license plate bracket upside down so that the bottom of the "v" notch of the plate bracket is lined up with with the center line of the front valence where it meets the chin spoiler.
3.) Take each bolt and push it through a top hole in the black plastic grille on each side of the bracket. You will want to line these up so they are straight before you push them all the way through.
4.) Use the Phillips screwdriver to tighten each bolt until the bracket is secure against the front valence. (Be careful not to over tighten the bolts to the point where you crack your plastic grille).
5.) Install slit rubber tubing over the bolt threads and the edges of the license plate frame to prevent scuffing.

    Works great!

Genius there SRT-Tom!!!!! I am picking up my 2012 Blue Streak Pearl R/T Classic this Thursday and am no longer stressing over how to mount the front plate bracket.

I wish I would have been on these forum before I took delivery. I wouldn't of had the guy install mine. It was late on a Saturday and he had the drill in his hand. He did ask me and made absolute sure I said go ahead. Should have waited. I was debating. I took off my plate and there are two large holes that distorted the plastic so it is really obvious where the holes are now. I could pay $33 for a couple of Bumper Plugs that look like caps, but I don't know if that would still look damaged or repaired or not. My Durango has the sensors on the back bumper and that doesn't look all that bad with 4 round dots, but the plugs look like repair jobs rather than natural. If I did that, I would have to drill out the holes even bigger to seat the plugs which would not allow the frame to be mounted again. I guess I could do this mod if I had to mount the plate, or go with the hide a plate under the air dam. Our state almost passed a one plate law, but law enforcement lobbied and got them to not pass that law. I should buy a house in Michigan and register my car there. They only have one plate. LOL

Here's another kind of solution I did with my car..

The holder is made from aluminium since stainless steel prototype was kinda heavy.. I dont have the picture of the plate holder otherwise than attached to car but the bends were so tight it didnt even need those screw's nesesarry, but they are there for just in case..

My plate is not regular finnish plate, it's reguested without FIN tags and with only 2 number so it fits in the rear space too..

This is normal plate in finland..

That video is spot on for how easy it is to do that mod.
