Thank you for sharing. I've recently changed the oil in our Durango R/T and my Challenger SRT 392. But I guess I can always stock up for the next change. Besides ... Oil --- apparently --- keeps on the shelf longer than it keeps in the engine. Or ... I could switch our trusty '05 Monte Carlo LS from Mobil 1 to Pennzoil. Nah ... probably not.
Anyone certain using Supertech would be dangerous? https://vehiclefreak.com/who-makes-supertech-oil-for-walmart-and-is-it-any-good/
I used it a few times in my beater car. It meets both API and ILSAC specifications. As the article states, the oil is either made by Warren, Exxon/Mobil or Pennzoil. It also states the following: " If you compared the worst oil with the best, over time you may see a difference, but most oil brands, including Supertech, are in the middle of the spectrum where these differences are hardly noticeable." That being said, I only use the very best oil in my 6.1 Hemi, just like I only use SRT oil filters. It's just like buying off-brand gasoline. You don't know if it has the same additives. You can safely use Supertech oil, but why take a chance to save a few dollars?
