What does the sport mode in a 5.7 manual transmission do when pressed? Does it improve performance?

    From an older post: "
My car is a 6-speed, so activating the sport mode only makes changes to the suspension. On autos, changes are also affected on the transmission."
    Hope this helps!

I have a 2020 R/T six speed manual. The obvious to me things that change when Sport Mode is enabled are the exhaust is louder and the throttle response is faster. There may be other changes, like to the suspension and steering, but I don't notice them.

If you have an automatic and engage the "ECO" mode your engine will run on 4 cylinders and the engine will wear out faster.
