August 24 marked the first release of the 2023 "Buzz" Models. Six other limited-edition models will follow.

The first to be revealed is the Challenger Shakedown. Inspired by Dodge's Shakedown Challenger concept unveiled at the 2016 SEMA aftermarket parts show, the special edition uses a black and red interior theme combining nappa leather and Alcantara, while fusing modern and classic elements for the exterior.

Special touches on the exterior include a Mopar shaker hood, racing stripes with a red accent, a unique R/T grille badge, special graphics, 9.5-inch (standard body) or 11.0-inch (wide body) wide 20-inch wheels, and 6-piston Brembo front brakes with red calipers all around.

The car is based on the Challenger R/T Scat Pack and is decked out in Destroyer Gray for the regular model and Pitch Black for the wide-body model. R/T Scat Pack power comes from Dodge's 392 cubic-inch (6.4-liter) V-8, which is good for 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque.

The car also comes with content from the Plus Group, Technology Group, and Navigation, Carbon/Suede, and Dynamics packs designed for the Challenger R/T Scat Pack.

Production of the Challenger Shakedown will be limited to 1,000 units, split evenly between the Challenger R/T Scat Pack's regular and wide body styles. Allocations will be limited to a select number of high-volume dealers. (Note- Expect some dealers to tack on a market adjustment). Order information for the complete 2023 Challenger range, including the Last Call cars, will be announced this fall.

Dodge will reveal five more Last Call versions of the Challenger and Charger through Sept. 21 before it shows the final seventh version at the 2022 SEMA show starting Nov. 1.

"Swinger"? Wasn't that the Dart Swinger grocery getter with the slant 6 or 318 V8?
They're making so many variations of the Challenger and Charger they're running out of names. LOL
BTW, they should have named the new EV Hornet a Dart instead of an AMC product.
    Just sayin....

The Swinger was first introduced during the 4th generation of the Dodge Dart (1967-1976). Although the Dart (and Plymouth Valiant) was heavily remodeled for the 1967 model year, it was not until 1969 when the Swinger 2 door hardtop and Swinger 340 muscle car was added to the lineup. Later Dodge (Chrysler) would add the Swinger Special before discontinuing the entire Dart nameplate in 1976.

I had a 1971 'Cuda 340 and a neighbor had a 1970 Swinger 340. These cars would really perform. CAR and DRIVER called its '68 340 Dart GTS (4 speed, 3.91:1 gears, 14.4 ET @ 99 mph) “a giant killer. In a 1969 test, HOT ROD Magazine got its 340, 4 speed Formula S ‘Cuda with 3.91:1gears to turn high-13’s.

The purpose built and finished by Hurst industries (150) copies of the 1968 Hemi for S/S drag racing "A" body Barracuda and the Dart. And the 1969 Dart GTS and the Cuda "M" code is the next rarest of the the "A" bodies which was a 440 engine option , the biggest problem with the 440 engine in a A body was the drivers side exhaust manifold was too close to the steering shaft so mopar had to make the manifold smaller and very restrictive unless you installed fender well headers back in the day and that woke the little car up. mopar claims they made 640 Darts and 358 Cuda's.

Only 300 of the 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona “Last Call” models will be produced, all based on the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody in vivid Go Mango exterior color. The 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona adds:

    • Extra 10 horsepower that takes the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye from 797 to 807 hp

    • 20-by-11-inch Satin Carbon Warp Speed wheels
    • Satin Chrome exterior badging
    • Orange six-piston Brembo brakes
    • Bright Mopar hood pin kit
    • Satin Black spoiler
    • Black Nappa/Alcantara “Daytona” seats with orange stitching
    • King Daytona interior instrument panel badge
    • Orange interior accent stitching on the instrument panel, console, steering wheel and door trim
    • Suede headliner
    • Carbon fiber interior bezels
    • Alcantara steering wheel
    • Harman Kardon premium audio system
    • Power sunroof
    • Navigation package

In addition to the seven “Last Call” special-edition models, Dodge brand will also celebrate its 2023 model lineup by bringing back three popular heritage exterior colors: B5 Blue, Plum Crazy purple and Sublime green. One modern color, Destroyer Grey, also returns. Charger and Challenger will each offer 14 total 2023 exterior color options. 2023 Charger and Challenger R/T models will also feature new “345” fender badging, a callout to the 345-cubic-inch HEMI® engine under the hood.

All 2023 Dodge Charger and Challenger models will also carry a special commemorative “Last Call” underhood plaque, making every 2023 Charger and Challenger especially desirable. The brushed aluminum underhood “Last Call” plaque features the vehicle name and a vehicle silhouette, as well as “Designed in Auburn Hills” and “Assembled in Brampton” to proclaim each vehicle’s origin.
