    Thought you guys would be interested in the Challenger's production totals since 2008. It's interesting to note that 2010 was the biggest year.

    2008 Model Year

    7,209 - SRT8 (100%)

    7,209 Total for 2008


    2009 Model Year

    8,625 - Base (24.7%)
    16,395 - R/T (47.0%)
    9,834 - SRT8 (28.2%)

    34,854 Total for 2009

    2010 Model Year

    24,789 - Base (42.9%)
    22,877 - R/T (39.6%)
    10,156 - SRT8 (17.6%)

    57,822 Total for 2010

    2011 Model Year

    12,562 - Base (47.6%)
    8,552 - R/T (32.4%)
    5,265 - SRT8 (19.9%)

    26,379 Total for 2011

    2012 Model Year (as of 11/11/2011)

    6,659 - Base (48.9%)
    4,481 - R/T (32.9%)
    2,476 - SRT8 (18.1%)

    That is going to make them very sought after when they discontinue them in 2013. By the way my R/T is a 2010.

    I agree. With my car, only 9,834 SRTs were made in 2009!

    I edited my post and added the model percentages for each year.

    Looks like the SE model took off in 2010 and led all sales. Amazing what fuel prices can dictate.

    I like the looks of 2011 SRT's. Looks like IE totals may be more than some of the other colors. :D

    allpar.com has a list of the 2008 and 2009 production totals broken down to color, engine and trans

    2010 and later has been unavailable.

    I did email Chrysler (a few times) and received the numbers for the plum crazy purple cars

    2337 Total in PCP

    1398 R/T Classic
    725 automatics
    673 6-speed

    939 SRT8
    408 automatics
    531 6-speeds

    Plum Crazy is a rare color. I have only seen one on the road in NJ since they were available.

    Challenger is a great car with lots of options and colors. The total sales are very respectable. I hope the car that replaces the Challenger does as well.

    I wonder how many of the Redline's they are planning to do? I heard there was going to be a limited number of them.
