I'm trying to install a Overhead Map/garage opener console I got off ebay. The map lites should be plug n play but I need to know what the 4 wires to the garage opener are? Current console has no opener, I will have to power this up. I know one is hot, one is ground, I think the other two may have something to do with the ignition on/off powering?

4 wires are as below, also attached a pic, thanks

    White w Orange strip
    Solid white
    Red / Green
    Black / Green

I'm far from an expert, but I'm thinking that since you didn't have the garage opener installed at factory, you're not going to have the wires run for them.

Not sure about that. I’d have to see a wiring diagram for the car. But for what it’s worth, the factory garage door opener in my car works even when the ignition is powered off. (It’s a 2010 SRT)

Right I won't be able to plug n play, because it won't have the factory plugs. I will have to live with out things like using it if the car is not on, not having it show up on the dash saying "transmitting chaneel 2 garage opener".........I don't need all that, just the mininum power up. Having it only work when car running is fine. I've done this before on my other challenger, its just been 7 years ago.

Actually, having it work when the car isn’t on can be a liability. If you leave it in your driveway, a thief could break in, then get access to your home just by pushing the button.

I keep mine in the garage. I never understood folks who store tons of worthless crap in their garage and then keep their $40000 cars outside!

Below is what I have so far. I was hoping to get away with only needing the bottom 12v +/- I can tap off the hot wire there. Then simply do not use
the White and white/orange (I would not have that display on dash "transmitting", and I don't care)
But if it also needs White and white/orange to power up and transmit, I'll have to wire this too, and somehow drop the voltage to 5 volts or whatever the CAN bus voltage is.

White/Orange ---CAN B BUS (+) not sure if this is needed but may be 5v Positive
White ------------ CAN B BUS (-) not sure if this is needed but may be 5v Negative
Red/green -------FUSED B (+) 12v Positive - This may only be used to lite up the buttons
Black/green -------GROUND (-) 12v Negative - This may only be used to lite up the buttons

You didn't mention it in your posts, but did you try it by just wiring the 12 V +/- wires? The other two wires might actually be the output for the display? I assume there's a circuit board in the console that needs to produce the feedback signal when the button is pushed.
What year wiring diagram are you looking for? (up to 2014 or 2015 and up?) They are included in the shop manuals you can get online.

Not yet, I just found the above pin out to try it. I don't need all the bells n whistles, just a simple open/close. I'm thinking the 2 wires White and white/orange are going to need 5v not 12v. If so I can get a small converter,

Does anyone know the voltage of the CAN BUS ?

I understand your thought process but all I'm suggesting is to try it with only the 12 +/- connected and see if it works. You're thinking the white/orange and white wires are inputs of one in and one out on the CAN BUS. If those are for the CAN BUS they're probably for the signal going to the information display. You said getting that to work either isn't possible or not a priority.

A handheld door transmitter only needed its battery voltage to send a signal to the garage door. All I'm saying is to connect the 12 volt wiring and see if it works before heading further down the digital path. :)

Thats the plan....start with Red/Green and Black/Green on 12v, test, if it works...done. If not then put 12v on the other along with what I just said (and hope 12v doesnt fry it and that a simple power input and not varying signals is what it needs0
