My perception is of course biased by our lowly Canadian $, but not sure our latest experience in Las Vegas would have been much more fun even with a our $ at par. Food and beverage, accommodation with the resort fee, and entertainment prices are not the value they once were. The strip walkways littered with psychotic homeless. Doubtful we'll fly there again as our primary destination. Just become too pricey for the enjoyment of a couple of shows. Anyone visit Reno anymore? Is Laughlin better value?
I was at SEMA in early November and found Las Vegas crowded, expensive, and less entertaining than it was in the past. However, I don't gamble, so that is lost on me. I don't like shows, so no attraction there. And my wife wasn't with me either, so no need to shop. But SEMA was fascinating as usual. I was a speaker in the SEMA Education program and that was very interesting.
