I found out that AWD Hemi-powered police cruisers come up for sale now and then, and guess what you can do with that transfer case going forward to that differential that bolts to the engine/oil pan?

You can bolt it into a Challenger.

Now, literally not one person on Earth that I know of has done this yet, so I am curious who will be the first?

I would like it to be me, but, hey, feel free to beat me to the punch.

If you can do this with any Hemi, then you can do it with a Hellcat.

An AWD Hellcat would be a street weapon sans pareil.

Here's a video of some rich kid who did a 1400hp AWD Charger.

Knowing this is most eminently possible, is there anyone else considering it?

Also, the hub offset position is different for an AWD than a 2WD Mopar, so one would have to take that into consideration if one were to go this route. The front hubs and wheel centers would be pushed out further than would be the stock ones.
Where one might run into a problem with this is the giant Brembo brakes. Could one fit this on the AWD hubs? Would one not need a custom-made spindle?

Yes possible cheap and practical no way... Took 3 cars for Chrysler to make this by their engineers.
So unless you have tons of fab skills, tools to machine the mods, and such its not something you yourself can just do this.

Ah, thanks for finding that. I guess, uh, a RWD is the way to go, then. However, if one is truly fanatical, one can change the firewall to allow more engine setback, which is a classic old hot rodder's trick.

That will shift a bit of the 900 or so pounds of the engine and transmission further towards the rear tires.

"We're going to see where this goes, and see what people think of the whole package."

24/7 and if linelock could be plugged in to either axle on demand for $15k out the door.

The problem with a line lock in an AWD car is detaching the front drive during the burnout, isn't it?

Remove two fuses and now you have a rear wheel drive only car..

Ah, so you could just put it on a switch, then, yes?

This just gets better and better as some OTHER forum absolutely implodes as one of its mods (who also runs/moderates another almost-identically-named-to-it forum) keeps banning people willy nilly for stupid reasons to increase traffic to the other forum she has part ownership in, evidently. Conflict of interest much? I just saw a thread or two over there where they are starting to wake up to the ban-happy behavior of the chomos who run the forum. Little do they know the same chomos run the other forum to which they flee.

Also, she seems to be rather mentally unstable. But, hey, that's Vertical Scope for you.

Only hiring the most malignant and pernicious people.

    But, I digress. :D

Sure is nice over here. Useful information and conversation. In a few days, I learned a lot more about the AWD concept etc. than I had in years.

What is ironic is that Lamborghini owners often (to my amazement) change their AWD Lambos to RWD, complete with removing front differential, etc. They claim it has better feel and driveability. But, then how many Lambo owners drive their cars hard in sloppy weather?
