My 2013 Challenger SXT with automatic will start up when I give the start button a quick poke (foot on brake of course). My 2014 R/T with manual transmission requires that I hold the start button in until it starts. Are both working correctly? If both are working correctly, is the difference due to a different year, model or transmission?

Yes it is working correctly. The automatic has a tip start, once you push the button it completes the entire start sequence. On the manual transmission the button is more like a traditional starter, holding the circuit open until at the engine starts.

    Thank you, MJ.

Fritz, they both have the start chip in the remotes.
