Meguiars Ultimate Quick Detailer

    Meguiars Ultimate Quick Detailer is a great product. I have been using it on my 2009 Hemi-orange SRT for years with fantastic results.

    I came across the ingredients of this product and found that it contains two gloss enhancers- Silicone Polymer and Organo-Modified Silicone System.

    Doesn't that cause scratches with no water to float the debris away?

    Unfortunately, this is not my garage. It belongs to my daughter.

    The Quick Detailer does not cause scratches.

    I only use Meguiars Ultimate Detailer to add a touch of gloss and protection to my paint after washing. Even though Meguiars claims that its lubricating properties are safe to remove light dust, I never use it for that purpose. I am afraid of clearcoat damage.

    I'll be skeptical of that, just a few specs of abrasive dust or sand is all it takes. Meguiars is good at advertising.
