I've a new '22 SP Shaker with the A8. Our local drag strip will close in the near future and I wanna do some ETs before it does. I need some info frow y'all that have done this on a regular basis. I need to buy some slicks. Probably the same size as the hellcat model (although mine is not a widebody. If this matters, steer me in the direction for non WB). Not sure which brand, size, pressure. I'll get em mounted on some cheap rims. I don't wanna fry my street tires in one night. When in launch mode, what RPM have you found to be ballpark. I know heat, track temp., lane condition have a lot to do with this but a ballpark for both street tires and slicks would be helpful. Ive been down the strip a dozen times in my life but I have no idea if Im doing it right. Any guidance is greatly appreciated. Mutt

If your Challenger is stock, I would install Mickey Thompson or Hoosier drag radials- they work better with lower power levels, especially autos. Six-speeds shock the tires to much with stiffer sidewalls.

The E/T Streets or slicks, M/H, Hoosier with softer sidewalls work better with a stick car or a more powerful car with a trans brake or such.

There's been a significant amount of factory diff breakage with the use of better traction tires at the track which you can confirm for yourself through a quick online search.
