I’m have some sad news to share about one of the Members of Challenger Forum has passed. Sadly we have lost (TRCM) Mark Leon Miller. He passed away on Tuesday the 12th of Sept he was 59 years old.
What is making this hard for me to post this is that I got to meet Mark in November of last year. Mark drove down to visit Family for an early Holiday time with his family in Lakeland and on the way back to GA to visit his kids.

After not hearing from him and several unanswered messages I got to wondering how Mark was. Have to say after re-reading his last post and messages we both were concerned. Last night I kept looking and searching and found his Obituary.

Personal story to share on meeting Mark when he was down in Florida,
I met up with Mark for lunch over in Plant City at the Farmer’s Market Restaurant and got to talk for over 3 hours and talked about many things. His drive down from VA, his Car my Car, family area and Health slightly in depth. We talked about his battle with Cancer and how he wanted to be here while he could still make the Trip.

Not going to go too deep into the Cancer but Mark was certainly a Fighter and he was still pushing on and going to continue to work as long as he could. After about 3 hours inside the Restaurant, On the way out he was saying how his family loved that Farmer’s market and they frequent it from Lakeland. So he got them some Bread Pudding a Huge Tray of it which was a good thing because they told him we love that place.

On the way out I got the check and he goes hey I wanted to get that told him no my friend you get it next time when your down. He kinda smiled and a bit tears said not sure I can make it down again. Told him you just keep going brother and I felt blessed to of met him and got to hang out.

Outside in the parking lot we chatted nearly another 40 mins of course now about the Challengers, he showed me his Hellcat, and he looked over mine and loved the Retro Theme. As we wrapped it up I asked him how he was going back and he said he was going to visit a bit with his Kids in Ga. He goes you know I still got nearly 28mph with 800+ Hp btw. upload_2023-9-29_13-42-45.gif

A good handshake and hug I wished him well and safe trip and told him let’s keep in touch. Told him he was in my prayers and thoughts.

I feel blessed that I got to meet Mark and spend time with him and hour wonderful it is to go from an Online Friendship to a real in person friend. Mark was a kind and warm soul and glad he wanted to meet and hangout.

With heavy Heart in closing of this Post, R.I.P.Mark thank you for the Friendship and time meeting.
May you be at peace and with the Lord

    Bill
