This month (December), the last LX platform car, a Challenger Demon 170, rolled off the assembly line. It marked the end of an incredible 19-year run for this platform. Here is what Ralph Gilles, Chief Designer at Stellantis, had to say about this: "The last LX platform-based car came off the line at the venerable Brampton assembly facility in Canada yesterday. Where every LX (over 4 million) since the 300 in 2004 started production has been made. Premium Americana sedan, Police cars, family wagons, Q ship SRTs and outright wheeling muscle cars…. Sold in countries as far away as Australia and Germany. The L bodies found their way into hearts in nearly every continent…. (thanks in part to the highly entertaining if not realistic Fast and Furious Franchise!) What a thing it has become. Special thank you to all the owners and car club communities out there who helped build its astonishing popularity while giving these cars their own special touch. The last car off line happened to be a Challenger Demon 170, the ultimate expression of our competitive spirit! What an awesome 15 year (19 for the 300!) run this project has been. I know the community will keep them going for years to come. Thank you to the unsung heroes in engineering, our design team over the years who strived to keep the car fresh, the passionate brand leaders and super creative marketing teams. Finally, here is a toast to the dealers, all the owners and the aftermarket community that supported us along the way!"

To any of the folks that worked at the plant, thank you very much! I have thoroughly enjoyed my 2006 Charger and now 2019 Challenger. Best cars I ever owned.
