    Hello all.

    2010 SRT8

I just got brand new spark plugs, pcv valve and a CAI installed two weeks ago. Everything has been great until this morning.

I just left AutoZone and got these codes.

It said Exhaust manifold and two codes.

p2096: post catalyst fuel trim system too lean bank 1

c121a: steering angle sensor not initialized.

    Any ideas?

    Best.

    Short answer - No.

So, why are you responding, Rick?

Ok, long answer. I have the same car, and I get that code all the time. And its companion, P2098 (bank 2). I've changed out all the O2 sensors and that did nothing to change the occurrence of the errors. If I leave the code and don't clear it, it will go away in a couple of driving cycles. It doesn't seem to be a big deal. And I'm not gonna start shotgunning replacing parts hoping to stop it, cuz that's a waste of time and money.

But I have a theory. My car has another minor problem, and that is the exhaust pipe clamps where the headers meet the cats don't clamp down tight enough. This allows the exhaust system to slide back sometimes and then that joint leaks a little bit. You can hear it when it happens. I've gotten under there a couple of times and tried to tighten it up, but those clamps are a little flimsy, and over tightening them could easily destroy 'em. So, I kinda live with the problem, and if I notice that it's slid back, I just sit down behind the car (when it's cooled off), and shove the pipes back up with my foot. Reason I mention this is it seems like when the pipes have slid back, that's when the error code shows up, as if the little bit of exhaust leak that causes affects the sensors enough to throw a code. That's my 2¢.
