Didn't the Germans revive the Hemi, and bring back the Challenger? I even got a diesel Jeep out of the deal.

I agree, but to Daimler's credit, the Challenger was developed under its watch.

No, you didn't. I was just making the point that the German ownership of Chrysler was not all bad.

Our Challengers are built on the S series platform, and no, I am not a Mercedes fan boy in any way. I owned a few Sprinters only based on size. Now I am running Transits.

RIGHT! THEY TOOK THERE MONEY AND RAN, THATS ALL. It is worse now Even a $4 billion government bailout wasn't enough to save the 84-year-old company, reeling from a 30% decline in auto sales in 2008. Chrysler filed for bankruptcy on April 30, 2009, and announced a partnership with Italian carmaker Fiat.

0% interest in anything from dodge, without a future hemi/magnum/other v8 option. Sad to see the brand I've loved all my life be destroyed by an idiotic European conglomerate, but... at least I've got my 1320 challenger! And there will always be a used market, too, for years to come.
