My 2015 is a "garage princess." It gets driven on trips ... but not to shopping canters. At about 46,500 miles, I was just starting to feel a little pulsation and hearing a few squeals after a few hours of driving. So ... since we had a trip to the Smoky Mountains planned for mid-May, I decided to replace the rotors and pads all the way around. I ordered the Mopar rotors and Brembo/Mopar pads and warned my bank account of the nasty hit headed its way. But when the rotors arrived, I was surprised at the almost "blank" look of the current version of the front rotors. So ... I sent them back and ordered two-piece, drilled and slotted front rotors and one-piece, drilled and slotted rear rotors from PowerStop. I only have about 2,000 miles on them ... but so far, I'm impressed.
My 2009 SRT came with slotted rotors and Brembo brake pads/calipers. Here is an informative article about the different types of rotors and their advantages and disadvantages. Types of Brake Rotors | Dodge Challenger Forum
A guy on another forum with the 392 Jeep says the OE pads are rough on the rotors, but he could be heavy on the brakes who knows. Mine have 11K on them, as well as the car, and all looks good, so I will wait until they are due. He recommended these. https://zaimmotorsports.com/collections/brakes
My 15' SRT has about 41K miles and already seems to need brakes too. It appears they don't turn rotors like back in the day so i'll have to start shopping for brakes/rotors. Where are you guys buying the parts from? Thanks!
If you take your car to a dealer or mechanic, you will be in for a huge labor bill (besides the expensive parts). Brembo brake pads are made to install very easily and quickly (for racing). Anyone can do it. Watch this simple installation video.
Haven't needed anything yet, but I will go with these guys when I do. https://zaimmotorsports.com/ Edit, no delete option, sorry for the repeat.
