We have all read about car thieves using sophisticated devices to read signals from a key fob and "trick" a car into thinking that a key is present to unlock the door and start the ignition.

In this video, an owner of a Hellephant Chrysler 300, uses a Faraday box to block the key fob's electrical signal and thwart this type of theft.

A Faraday box can be purchased on Amazon for $18.95. A cheap means of security.

I purchased the Faraday Box pictured above off Amazon, it did not block any signal at all, the pouches included in the purchase also did not block anything. Cell phone received calls inside the closed box and the keyfob started the vehicle from inside my home while fully inside the Faraday pouch.

I bought a Faraday pouch from E-Bay and it was also ineffective.

I think i will keep my key fobs in my wife's purse. I am more worried that someone on a phone runs a stop light. The 300 does sound bad ass though.
