None of the "high impact" colors have been confirmed by Dodge. Only rumored by non-Dodge related people on forums.

Dodge has not repeated any high impact colors during the Challengers production. All colors were done once and not repeated. Plus, some of those colors are supposedly slated to start production in 5-8 weeks. you would think if Dodge was painting a color in 5 weeks, they would let people know?

(not including the limited 2008 production year)
    Hemi Orange - 2009
    TorRed - 2009
    Deep Water Blue - 2009
    Inferno Red - 2009
    B5 Blue - late 2009 into 2010
    Detonator Yellow - 2010
    Furious Fuschia - 2010
    Plum Crazy Purple - 2010
    Green With Envy - 2011
    Blue Streak Pearl - 2011
    Header Orange - 2012
    Stinger Yellow - 2012
    Redline - 2012

It is possible that they re-issue some colors for the last year, but I would think that if they do another orange, purple or red, they would be different shades and different names. That is what they have done for the past 5 years

If one certain forum is correct, Wednesday will open the order banks for plum crazy purple in 2013.

I have really looked hard at this, something still doesn't add up. Dodge.com still does not list any plum crazy. The 2013 brochures do not list any plum crazy. One fleet sales company (Donlen) lists plum crazy as a "late availability", and then I found another person who says his company received a notice from Chrysler fleet sales listing plum crazy as only on the Charger for "late availability" (Daytona?) and NOT for the Challenger.

More, silliness. There is only supposed confirmation of plum crazy on only one forum, and nothing on any other forum. Odd. On that one forum there are a few people that have said they have ordered PCP or been contacted by their dealer saying it is happening. All these people have the same dealer...in PA. Some of these people are from other states, all have the same dealer...odd. Also every single person with "inside" knowledge are in PA or OH. This one dealer is on the border of OH and PA....odd.

I am not sure if anyone is aware. Any dealer can get a special run of any color in that years available palate. The run must be a minimum 10 cars and there is a premium of $1200/car, or $12,000, to make this run happen.

I wonder if this one dealer is trying to make this happen? by putting it out there that they have "inside information" they could get interest. It seems very odd that while there was a few people on one forum claiming "inside information" about a run of plum crazy, out of nowhere comes a person who claims to have put a downpayment on a PCP. Odd.

And then here it is, the eve of order banks opening and nothing from Dodge yet, not even a peep. Why would they keep it secret? Odd. Everything about this seems odd.

That does seem odd. I bet the dealer is the one that sells only specialty models.

It is now Wednesday, the day that the order banks "open", and yet still nothing from Dodge nor does the color show up as an option on dodge.com

For the record, part of me hopes I am wrong. There are a few people that have expressed a lot of interest in getting plum crazy and feel they missed out. Yes that is part of what happens when something is "limited production". Thursday is rumored to be a "big reveal" at the Chicago Auto Show. Detroit was the SRT Dart. My guess is the Daytona Charger in "high impact" colors. tomorrow...

Well today at the Chicago auto show, Dodge unveiled what they call the "Core" line-up. Part of that "Core" was an SRT Challenger in glorious plum crazy purple. It has officially returned.
