I noticed on my new 2013 R/T that my hood line gaps on both sides are not the same, the passenger side is a little wider than the driver side & the front nose where it meets the fenders is perfectly flush on the passenger side but on the driver side just below the side body line there is about a 1/8 th inch or less ridge where the nose part sticks out past the fender. the rest of that side is flush with the fender, is this a normal thing on all challengers or is mine different ? Can I please have some other owners check theirs for me & if it is just how things are then I will leave it at that. My hood LOOKS straight but I am very concerened that my hood or nose may not be on perfectly especially for what I paid for it. Also my front driver side wheel well shield was partially outside the front of the wheel well instead of behind the fender lip. I used a wood block and popped it back in behind the fender wheel well lip. I will appreciate someone checking their Cars for me to see if the small gap differences in the panel lines gaps in the hood are normal. thank you.

Hi Shaggy, I have to use my wifes phone camera as my digital camera that I have wont load up on this new computer like it did on the old system. I went to the dealer today and compared it to 2 other challengers and the hood gaps are equal on both of them so I am taking it in in a week or so. They also have to clay bar it to remove some very small orange colored dots that you can see on the white paint and they feel like tiny grains of sand. I got some of them off with bug/tar remover but for me to do it is way too much as washing don't remove them. they found out that it is fallout from the train cars during shipping. they are so small you feel them before you can see them. I am happy that the glass was covered because I do not have any on the glass. just the hood, roof. trunk and the top sides of the doors. I also had them price a mopar cat back exhaust and a cold air intake. It is more expensive when the dealer orders it but the convience of having them install it is worth it. my hood gaps are not that bad but I get very picky when it comes to car panel gaps. here is a picture of my Challenger, it is off the wifes phone & may be large. here is a neat challenger photo that shows My truck, a new challenger with 1970 badges, & my new Challenger in my driveway & jay lenos half & half challenger, half 1970 & 2010 BERT

Those are some great pics. Are you going to do a repro of Vanishing Point also? Glad to hear the dealer is doing a full detail for you.

Yes I am, with fender badging, rear spoiler badging Plus I will be getting the pistol grip shifter for it. gunslinger has them in wood like the VP movies have & my dealer has only the carbon fiber one that will match the carbon fiber trim around the shifter & radio stack. The carbon fiber will match better but theres just something about the wood shifter .

Good to see you know exactly what you want. Can't wait to see pics as you start modding.

Shaggy, here is a link to a post at cuda/challenger.com that will show a much larger picture of my Challenger. it should scroll side to side. at first glance the gaps look good, passenger side corner at windshield is narrower than the bottom of same side & driver side top corner by windshield is wider but narrower at bottom. it is almost like the hood has to be rotated something like "grab hood by both sides and with your right hand and left hand holding the edges of hood move right hand down & left hand up so it moves the top of hood to right & bottom to the left just slightly & just enough to even all 4 corners. does this make sense ?
