I am looking for a great looking 5 spoke wheel in 18 inch. I want to get the old school look like the American racingor crager wheels used to have. I know there isn't very much room for a wider rim so I would like to find the rims that will fit and have a deeper look than my R/T wheels. My Challenger is all white and I was thinking of a black 5 spoke wheel with a chrome lip. I want to stay at 18 inch and have a nice looking 5 spoke wheel. I haven't been able to see pictures of new white challengers with 18 inch 5 spoke wheels in black or chrome. Any shade of black is fine. I think it may also look like an unmarked cop car with that color combo. I am finding that most 5 spoke wheels are in 20 inch sizes or higher. I like to have some sidewall on my wheels.
Try some of the tire websites. They have a place where you put in your vehicle info and they show you what the rims will look like on your car.
Aren't there sites out there that you can go to and create custom wheels? I will have to check out to see if there is really any out there.
Two makers of the old Cragar style wheels are the Boss 338 wheels and the American Racing Torq-M wheels. I studied both for quite a while trying to decide and decided on the Boss 338 wheels (20") only two discover there was a big backlog on the 10" wide wheels I needed for the rear. You can get the 338's with black spokes and a polished rim. Here's some pics compliments of Google Images. These are 338's on a white Challenger:
Just a quick 2nd note... I've seen some of the Boss and Torq wheels advertised as fitting the Challenger but listing the pattern as something other than 5 x 115, say for instance the Mustang 5 x 114.x etc. The correct fitting wheels are 5x115, some of the 5x114.x will fit but I'd get the correct fitting 5x115's if it was me. Found some on Ebay that seemed like what you might be looking for here. Don't know a thing about the vendor though. Challengers look great with the old school 5 spokes Best of luck!
Just buy some steel police wheels and dog-dish caps like I did. They are the least expensive way to get the police car look. You will have to buy lug nuts too.
